About us

Soupe et compagnie des Pays-d’en-Haut, formerly known as Soupe populaire de la Vallée de St-Sauveur, has planned and organized food aid in the MRC des Pays-d’en-Haut since 1994.

But our mission does not stop here. In addition to the soup kitchen concept, we seek to draw out isolated individuals: the elderly and any other person seeking to escape from isolation by offering welcoming premises to find a friend, someone who will listen, and different forms of social support.

Our volunteers are very attuned to recognizing difficult situations and directing helping resources to clients who need them. Soupe et compagnie also supports citizen and social involvement by mobilizing volunteers from among our clientele so that they can regain control over their lives.

To achieve our extended mission, Soupe et compagnie collects funds and goods through public subscriptions and any other means possible, using all donations in the best interest of the people who benefit from our services. If you wish, you can donate on the premises, by mail or online.

On a yearly basis, Soupe et compagnie represents…

  • 11 779 Community meals prepared and served to our users in Saint-Sauveur, Saint-Adolphe-d'Howard, Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs and Morin-Heights;
  • 365 Meals prepared for non-profit organizations;
  • 476 Cooking workshops offered to our users;
  • 270 Meals served during Christmas Dinner;
  • 182 Meals served during our Sugar shack;
  • 100 Meals prepared and served to the Garde-Manger des Pays-d’en-Haut Food Drive volunteers
  • 450 Snacks prepared by several municipalities within the Food Drive framework

Although the main headquarters of Soupe et compagnie are located in the basement of the Saint-Sauveur church, community meals are also served in the municipalities of Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs and Morin-Heights.
